Growing up, I lived in a small, predominately white town. All throughout my childhood, I struggled with my identity and being biracial. I wanted to build a story off of the hurtful experiences I endured for many years- but relay it with a sense I comedic relief. It's something I have thankfully gotten past and now I want others to be able to understand why situations like this can be damaging. I chose to tell this story so that others, who also feel lost and out of place, can be recognized and for once relate to something on screen.
