When writing "I've Been Kind of Lonely Lately" I often thought of this quote from Susan Sontag: "The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people's reality, and eventually in one's own."

"I've Been Kind of Lonely Lately" is a story about modern relationships, social media, and growing away from one's friends. Anna, the main character of this short, is the embodiment of modern detachment - a tourist in her own reality.

I wrote this short after graduating college inspired by the loneliness of growing up and a feeling of dissociation caused by social media.
