In this buddy dramedy, materialism is a way to cope with internal and external issues so I wanted to showcase that. I often watch movies that center on shopaholics as a social disease yet they often have the opposite effect of "shedding light on the issue". These characters are usually glamorized. My two lead characters aren't, as they are from a small town so they don't have the luxury to be seen at a shopping mall; It's either online or that one small shop. This short showcases how the duo's similarities result in a friendship that bends but never breaks.
