About this submission

"Homo Homini Lupus" is a minimalist short film that unravels the bittersweet story of young Leo's relationship with his late uncle Raul. The film is challenging. It's a monologue recorded in a single take. And it's the first short film that I directed, wrote and produced with a team. It brings strong aspects of my vision as director and screenwriter: cinema with powerful stories and simple production; cinema as a tool to shed light on relevant problems and generate social debate; and the application of character-driven cinema much more than plot-driven.
