Combat sports are complicated. They appear brutal, and most people would assume violence is the most intimidating aspect. But combat athletes love that battle, love the artistry and beauty of MMA. What’s difficult, and hated, is the weeks of barely eating and dehydrating yourself past what’s safe. Your body feels like you’re going to die. Your mind too. Weight cutting is a common practice, and can have long term mental and physical effects on fighters. It’s something that the general public knows so little about. This film aims to bring awareness to that.
