About this submission

I saw this scene happen in front of my eyes and it immediately struck me as a modern-day version of "American Psycho". Status is still something a vast number of people, young ones too, give importance to, mostly in metropolitan cities. The intrinsic dynamic of exclusion of the situation however, reflected struggles beyond that of access to luxurious clubs, it also shone light for me on how we negotiate our personality in relation to society and others in order to be accepted. This often has devastating consequences both for the single individual and for the community which holds these standards.
