Throughout my adolescence, I found that women are often burdened with the belief that their sexual choices are something to be ashamed of. Whether stemming from religious beliefs, societal expectations, or personal relationships, many women, including myself, have felt immense judgement over our decisions. “Dirty Towel” is an effort to change that narrative, a coming-of-age story that tackles the themes of generational shame, self-worth, and sexual empowerment. It is my hope through this film to empower women to find confidence in their choices, free from the opinions of others.
