In learning to forgive my parents for their mistakes, I crossed a hurdle of maturation and inner peace. This film exists as an exploration of what it means to open our hearts to love, not for the ego of those forgiven but for ourselves. To rid ourselves of anger and resentment is the kindest gift we can give to our own future, for generational trauma and the pain of the past can only exist until we actively decide to take strides to begin anew.
Chandler Crump is an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter whose work focuses on amplifying Black and female voices. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in 2022. She was born and raised in San Francisco and currently resides in New York with her cat.
