I was inspired by the experience of my large, black friend Calvin Calhoun, who is also the lead actor in my film. Seeing first-hand, the discrimination he deals with, simply for the way he looks, and how he copes with being himself. I sought to give him a voice in this industry, when most want to shut him out.
