In spring of 2020, New York City - with its tight quarters and high population - quickly became the American epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. As the virus spread and millions sheltered-in-place, first responders faced the pandemic head on, risking their health and safety to do their jobs. This short film, a version of which premiered at the American Documentary Film Festival, centers on three FDNY first responders - David, Chavay, and Virginia - as they grapple with the weight of the pandemic and provide a glimpse of life on New York City's frontline during the start of the pandemic.
