I grew up hearing a lot about my older sister, Kate, who was stillborn. Though I never got to meet her, she is an important part of my family, and the experience that my parents had with her still affects them to this day. While beginning my research, I didn't see a lot of media portrayal of this kind of loss and how it affects people. I wanted to give my parents, and any other families with a similar experience, some form of representation.
