This film was made for the 100 Hour Film Race competition, where we were given three prompts about the story. The theme was madness, the prop was a doll, and an actor's action was coughing. I knew I wanted to tell a story about someone's connection with their favorite childhood toy. That evolved into a story about an insecure girl trying to use that childhood doll to try to mend her relationship with her estranged sister. I wanted to show the complex nature that one's insecurity and misreading of situations can lead to a character's downfall.
