About this submission

This short film explores the magnitude of what it means to be Black in America. It’s a callout to America and a call-in for my people to laugh, to cry, to breathe. In America's current state, and long beforehand, Black people have been villainized, brutalized, and persecuted. I created this film as a form of healing for us to show that this narrative cannot and will not remain our portion.
