Carolyn Kaylor is a New York-based filmmaker, educator, and exhibition specialist, with a wealth of experience across the film industry. Currently, she serves as Senior Manager of Exhibition at the Sundance Institute and Technical Director of the Telluride Film Festival. She has worked as a projectionist, technical director and consultant for a wide range of film festivals, including Nantucket, Savannah, Hamptons, TCM, Bermuda, and Dubai International to name a few. Carolyn’s films have been shown at festivals internationally and she has taught courses in filmmaking at The Museum School, Boston College, and CalArts. Her film experience began with a job as assistant editor for the documentarian Fred Wiseman. She is passionate about the future of cinema and the preservation of the collective movie going experience and recently collaborated with Upstate Films on the purchase and renovation of a historic theater in the Hudson River Valley.
