What happens when your skin complexion speaks for you before you ever say a word? When the media has historically worked to classify you as: the standard, the token, or the criminal? This 10-12 minute narrative drama explores a complex friendship of three Italians who share the same nationality but the differences of their skin tone and gender creates a non-monolithic experience for each character. As tensions arise when racially charged microaggressions lead to one character becoming the victim of a hate crime, we explore the nuances of privilege, identity, and racial biases in contemporary Italy.
