The differences between Korean and American culture regarding the welfare of the elder community inspired this story. Although some Korean elders may exploit the respect received from younger generations, comparatively, it seems the youth in America have slowly forgotten what it means to respect our elders. I have, in both Korea and America, witnessed the rising conflict between families as the fate of their elders lie in their hands. The ending of the film throws a question to the audience, causing them to reflect on our responsibilities with our elders.
