I chose this story because it fit within the constraints of a "single-take" project (no cuts), but it let me tell a story about characters that resembled real people. I chose to tell the story in the short "2 Minutes 'til Class” to poke fun at a disconnect in many relationships where one partner is far more committed to the idea of romance than the other. I also wanted to blend elements from different time periods to try and reason out where this sort of romantic disconnect might come from. Also, tis the season for love.
