My Work
Family Business
Creator: Roya Alidjani
We all had that defining moment in our lives that took us one step closer to adulthood. As we grow up, we realize that our heroes also have flaws. I felt it was my duty to write this story to connect with audiences and make them feel less alone through this empowering narrative.
My Yellow, Your Red
Creator: Roya Alidjani
“My Yellow, Your Red” follows Lila, an Iranian-American woman in her late twenties, who returns to her childhood home for Nowruz, the Persian New Year, only to find herself caught between the present and past. As family expectations clash with her desire for independence, Lila begins to question the boundaries that have shaped her identity and individual self-expression. Navigating the tension between cultural values and personal freedom, she is torn between which is more important — making her elders proud or making herself proud.
