A short advert for Shop SYRO, an emerging shoe brand based in Brooklyn.

Blending music, improvised dance, and archival audio, this experimental portrait showcases the struggle and joy of being from the South Bronx.Our dancer improvises in spaces that blend the personal and the structural. The first site, the damaging Cross-Bronx Expressway, was built to divide healthy Black & Brown communities for the ease of the wealthy. The second and third site are in the artist's home. He dances to and is intercepted by Jazz, archival audio from a 1980's news report, and quiet moments that emphasize the architecture of the borough.
