Michael Nicholas
Writer/Director
New York, New York, United States
Formerly a compositor/editor, but currently a Physician Assistant and Writer/Director. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and after completing my BS in Communications at Boston University, I moved to Los Angeles to begin working in the industry. After working long, unstable hours in post production studios (R!ot Pictures, Method Studios) for 9 years, I made a career switch to medicine several years ago. Even though I was enjoying taking care of patients and practicing medicine, I was struggling to scratch that creative itch. I began taking screenwriting classes 4 years ago - I've written 3 screenplays and 2 pilots, and hope to get at least 2 of them produced in the next few years. COVID testing and vaccinating have taken up the majority of my time since 2020, but I recently wrapped my first short film "Number 12" and am currently locked into post on it.
