Jaydn Ray Gosselin is a Brooklyn based French-Australian filmmaker who works at the intersection of art and advocacy. He is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of This Machine Media, a multidisciplinary production company dedicated to sparking civic engagement through non-fiction storytelling. He is interested in how histories, memories, and traumas are embedded in community spaces, hidden sanctuaries, and built environments. Jaydn's productions have been featured in The Australian Book Review, New York Magazine’s The Cut, openDemocracy, and New York Daily News. His documentary, "Safe Space," was named a finalist for the 2021 Sundance Ignite x Adobe Short Film Challenge. His upcoming documentary on Australia’s offshore, refugee detention infrastructure, “Searching for Aramsayesh Gah,” is supported by Amnesty International and over 900 donors. ​ Jaydn holds a BFA in Film & Television from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He resides on Lenape land of the Leni Lenape people and was raised on Gadigal land of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the place we now call Sydney.
