Jason is a filmmaker committed to exploring the human condition through diverse storytelling, most-often within the supernatural medium. His many years in leadership both in the corporate world and as a business owner helps shape his perspective on character development, diverse story-telling and to draw parallels between real world experiences and the fantastic. His first project, ABDUCTION - a sci-fi pilot, screened at local festivals in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Indiana in 2020. His second project, IN MEMORIAM, was screened and won BEST INSPIRATIONAL SHORT at LA LIVE FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles and won BEST SOUND DESIGN at the CARE Awards in West Virginia in 2021. He currently has a new short film, STORAGE, in pre production and two pilots, WHAT ELSE IS LEFT? and CINDER currently in development. Jason grew up in Southern California and now resides in Richmond, VA with his husband Steve and their two dogs, Turkey and Bacon. It’s professional grade and user friendly. studiobinder.com - Again, not a product pitch, but they have a free version and their blog, and templates help give you a solid overview of the entire production process. nofilmschool.com - Great tips, articles and tutorials for independent filmmakers and folks just starting out. Really, just great stuff for anyone. :) Mind Mapping Software/App - This is what I use to get my thoughts out of my head and expand them into viable ideas (or scrap them) before outlining. I use Mind Node, but there are a lot out there and many are free. Indiewire and IMDb Pro for industry news, research and contact development.
