Igor Polikarpov is a writer/director born in January 2000 in Norilsk, Russia, 300 km north of the Arctic Circle, and raised between Moscow and Istanbul. He began his professional path at the Moscow Film and Television Institute, where he studied at the Department of Fiction and Documentary Film Directing. Following his studies in Russia, Igor enrolled in the Film Production Department at the Los Angeles Film School, where he graduated in the fall of 2023 with a thesis project shot in the Peruvian Andes of South America. Working with film and across different geographies are among Igor's main interests, pushing him to constantly search for stories and subjects "out of reach."
