David Finch

Montreal producer/director of Oji-Cree and European heritage, David Finch has produced and directed many social-issue, historical and biographical documentaries for television. Together with partner Maureen Marovitch, David has garnered numerous international awards, including top honours at Hot Docs in Toronto, the Columbus Film and Video Festival, Minnesota WebFest, Yorkton and Vancouver film festivals. His films have also featured at the Montreal World Film Festival, IDFA, ImaginNative, Native Insights, and the American Indian Film Festival.

David is currently in pre-production on a new doc series called WARRIOR UP!, about Indigenous youth from all over Turtle Island (North America) who are change-makers and next-gen leaders. David is senior producer at Picture This Productions, and is an adjunct professor of Film and New Media at Champlain College.
