If you were to look back at my childhood home videos, you would see a small freckled faced 5 year old begging my dad to let me hold the camera. By the time I was 10, I had claimed my mother’s camera as my own. I have always been captivated by creating images that tell a story, both in film and photography. To me, storytelling is the core of all the work I produce. Having been fortunate enough to have travelled to over 20 countries, I have been exposed to the luxury of diversity and culture. Most importantly, I have come to realize that our world is made up of millions of unique stories, many of which still rest untold. Travel and photography have allowed me to connect with so many incredible individuals in all walks of life. Through my camera lens, I strive to continue exploring all corners of the world, one story at a time.

For Kate

Creator: Claire Imler
We have become so overwhelmed with daily news stories from so many different sources, it has become easy to desensitize ourselves to current violence and injustice towards immigrants in this country. Through For Kate, I wanted to create a compelling narrative to return that element of humanity that gets lost through news articles. Exploring this story through a child's perspective gave us an innocent perception of the world and the people in it. Through her eyes, we see a person only for their best qualities as a human being, regardless of status.
