Cheryl Dunye is a world-renowned African American director, writer, actress, and producer. She first emerged as part of the “Queer New Wave” of young filmmakers in the early 1990s. She is best known for her work on THE WATERMELON WOMAN, STRANGER INSIDE, and LOVECRAFT COUNTRY.
