Andrew Ducky Dutkiewicz - Sundance Collab

A lover of cinema and literature, Andrew Ducky Dutkiewicz is a first-generation American originally from Connecticut. His latest short film EVERYTHING HAPPENS (writer/director/producer) is a shoe-string story starring members of his family in an objective and chaotic suburban adventure, it is currently in the festival circuit. He is also in post-production on a recent science fiction short titled STUD (writer/director/producer). He now resides in Washington State, after years of experiencing different locations including New York City, Los Angeles, and New Mexico.

Everything Happens came out of two things, a commentary on suburbia, and my perspective of family. I wanted to make a genuine on the ground piece focusing on the personalities and "mountain out of a mole hill" perspective that I was raised around. I wrote this short for my mother, who stars in the film - alongside my father, sister, and friends. An eyepiece into the ironic world I know, and a way to explore my nature and where I come from as a storyteller on a shoestring budget.
