Alfredo de Villa

Alfredo de Villa's first film, Washington Heights (co-written with Sundance Alumni Nat Moss, with additional writing by Pulitzer prize-winner fiction writer Junot Diaz) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and distributed by Lionsgate. His third film Adrift in Manhattan (Heather Graham, Billy Baldwin) premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival in Dramatic Competition. 

Alfredo directed Nothing Like the Holidays (with Alfred Molina, Debra Messing) for Overture Films. Roger Ebert highly praised the film. His most recent film Fugly (John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez) is based on Leguizamo’s successful one-man show and premiered in 2014. 

He’s directed TV for ESPN, Netflix and Direct TV.

On the content and commercial worlds, Alfredo has worked on a variety of long and short form content/ads for brands like Harley-Davidson, Amazon, Microsoft, Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, Chevy, Chrysler, Walmart, Comcast, Spectrum, Sprint, Oracle, AT&T, Carolina Herrera, Nestle, Kellogs, Pepsi, among others. He’s won and been shortlisted on a variety of Advertising prices and festivals for his work.
