In America of the 19th century, African Americans got the right to vote, but they didn't dare to exercise it - they knew too well that white guys won't let them do it without a bitter struggle. Jim, a middle-aged slave, is promised by his master that if he votes he will be beaten to death, but suddenly the little 6-year-old son of his master decides to protect him
