Oftentimes, stories that take place in marginalized communities are stereotypical. I just wanted to follow a young girl who happens to live in a marginalized community, but it not affecting her desires. This explores a universal desire of wanting to see the stars. Also, I wanted to explore the concept of creating one's own narrative when nothing else seems to work. Finally, using one's own home as a source for inspiration instead of leaving it.
