A reclusive macro-photographer uncovers the immortalising power of cinema. The more people he points his camera to, the more stories he sees are worth exploring. Yet, after a surprising turn of events that leads our hero to research the history of cinema, he wonders whether all stories should be dramatised, and whether he as a filmmaker will challenge death by crossing the line of mortality.
