A piece drawn from my own experience and focused on a different kind of horror. Childhood is full of fright with so much newness and possibility. I remember my imagination animating stuffed animals into vicious beasts, and hiding with my siblings from unseen evils. Despite our serious fear, there was often a sense of lightness to it all. I wanted to recreate that sensation of compounding excitement and terror of the unknown- everything when you're a child.
