Ever since I saw Sicario Day of the Soldado, I was inspired by a scene in a shopping store that involved terrorists blowing themselves up in a single long take. Years later and all I could think of was how to create mystery, tension and subverting audiences expectations of what a story about terrorism can look like when mixed with the sci-fi genre.
