We wanted to capture the whim of when we leave behind the secure to embrace the spectacular. Furthermore, we wanted to see this unfold through a cypher whose story is always pilfered or borrowed, contorted and morphed--we wanted to tell her story the way she experiences it, before it's adapted for a white, cis-heteronormative lense. Likewise, we need more on-screen stories about the lives of college students! While nearly 70% of Canadians pursue further studies after high school, we seldom see what this chapter consists of for this demographic.
