The prevailing theme of 'Quiet Strangers' is loneliness. We live in an absurd world and each of us are locked into our own perspectives. This film bounces between perspectives and time frames, hoping to explore this clash of perception and reality. The process of making this film was very stream of conscious based; whereby I would write, paint, animate, compose music, record voices and design sound with the only plan being to create a variety of existential vignettes. The longer the project went on, the more the pieces naturally started to fit together.
