About this Video
Composed over a period of just a couple hours, this score combines a lonely and stark piano solo with field recordings of cars, birds and crickets in Ohio and fireworks and birds in Los Angeles. You can also hear the distinctive bark of Murphy the Shih Tzu (an LA resident). The music and sound subtly supports the gorgeous nighttime scenes in this clip from Tomás Gómez Bustillo's film "Chronicles of a Wandering Saint". My goal was to paint the image with music and sound in an impressionistic and improvisational manner. It was my pleasure to take part in this sound and music challenge!
