I'm interested in the subtle intricacies and awkwardness of connection. I wanted to tell a story about two drastically different people who share some DNA. A young girl on the brink of adulthood whose biggest dream was to go to college in NYC realizes that 500 miles won't rid her of the feelings she brought with her. A father who struggles to maintain a relationship with his daughter because he doesn't want to burden her realizes that it might be too late. Will they continue to avoid the awkwardness of reconnecting? Or will they find their own ways of communicating?
