I was really interested in this idea of the late-night drive, where thoughts and feelings are blurred and hazy – and thought this would be an interesting way to explore a story about memories & lost love — drawing on both my own personal experiences, and also Joesef’s (the artist) experiences as well. I really wanted to a character-driven piece, which presents frames and situations which demand the audience to really think about what they're seeing. From an aesthetic standpoint, I'm obsessed with the idea of taking moments of reality and heightening them to a dream-like space.
