Laura Seixas is an award-winning Portuguese film director. She has directed several short-films including Belonging and Let There Be Light, all of which have been selected to play at major festivals, such as Festival de Cannes, Rhode Island International, NYC Indie and Sharjah International Children Film Festival. Recently she developed and co-directed an award winning mini series called Dreaming Whilst Black for 4Quarter Films where she received several awards for directing. The series has been selected for over 33 festivals and received over 65 nominations and 36 wins. Laura has been developing in the last few years several projects like her first feature, A Carrinha, an international co-production with Take it Easy (Portugal). She is also working with a company in the United States, Foreign Nationals, for a second feature entitled, Salomé. More recently, Laura joined Film Strike for Climate where she coordinates the content production. She is also working with her mentor Marian Sanchez Carniglia on her Storytelling Studio. more...
