One friday morning in March 2021 I was mourning the death of a girl I never knew. Her name was Uwa, she was my age and she was beaten and raped to death in a church a year before. Uwa is one of many in a country where abuse does not just exist but thrives. Dr. Akpofure is my tribute to Nigerian women, silenced in death and life by the mass ignorance and illiteracy of Nigerians.
