After discovering an abandoned house on a walk home from school, cousins Alfie and Julia, begin a journey of self-exploration in which Alfie starts to push the boundaries of binary gender expression, rejecting gendered fashion.

As Alfie begins to unpack their budding queer identity, they are also forced to navigate the tides of toxic masculinity rooted in their relationship with their Irish Catholic father.
