Patricia Resnick is an acclaimed American screenwriter, playwright, and producer, best known for her work on the iconic film 9 TO 5. Resnick has had a distinguished career in Hollywood, contributing to many successful films and television projects.

Resnick's breakthrough came when she co-wrote the screenplay for 9 TO 5, a comedy that not only became a box office hit but also resonated deeply with audiences for its portrayal of women's workplace issues. The film starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton and earned critical acclaim for its sharp wit and social commentary.

In addition to her work on 9 TO 5, Resnick has written for a range of other film and television projects, showcasing her versatility and talent in various genres. Her other notable film works include STRAIGHT TALK which reunited her with Dolly Parton, MAXIE, which starred Glenn Close and Mandy Patinkin and A WEDDING and QUIINTET which she co-wrote for her mentor Robert Altman. In TV she contributed to shows like MAD MEN, TALES OF THE CITY for Netflix and FX BETTER THINGS.

Beyond her screenwriting achievements, Resnick has also made a mark in the theater world, writing and producing plays that have been performed across the United States including the musical version of 9 TO 5 which appeared on both Broadway and London’s West End. Katherine "Kat" Street is an LA-based award-winning filmmaker and Philadelphia native. A cinephile at heart, she writes female-driven stories with complex (oftentimes damaged) main characters, centered around self-discovery, self-love, and belonging.


She has written numerous short-form projects, including original shorts, pilots, and features. She wrote and directed the dramatic short film “Cycles,” which received festival recognition in both acting and best romantic short. She also created her award-winning flagship web series "The New Adult,” which is currently streaming on Kweli TV.


Kat is a Stowe Story Lab SAGIndie Fellow and a participant in the BlackMagic Collective Emerging Filmmakers Initiative. In 2021, she founded the Black Film Challenge, a project that showcases filmmakers of African descent and the movies they create.


She earned her BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in Cinematography and has literary representation with Yak Yak Mgmt.
