A rural girl, Spring, wants to escape her hometown to learn art in the city and chooses to leave home early one morning. After thinking a lot on the bus, she eventually chooses to turn back halfway, only to start her painting in a sketchbook by the fire after dinner, seemingly giving up her dream but actually choosing to take more practical action. When I was in China, I also considered giving up studying film in America because of the high tuition fees, and I projected myself onto this country girl.

In the last soccer game in school, Xia, waiting for her best friend Jun who was late, tried her best to play a draw and get the game into overtime. They kept the promise of playing the last game together in the injury time, which became a memory of the last time the childhood friends met in their lives. In my childhood, all friendships are not about class, rich or poor, winning or losing. All things are very simple before the end of that summer.
