Originally from Flint, Michigan, Wilandrea Blair is an LA-based writer and 2020 graduate of the American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory. Wilandrea typically writes about hot mess Black women navigating diverse worlds with humor and heart. She’s placed in several prestigious fellowships and writing competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (top 50), Launch Pad (top 10), The Writers Lab and most recently the Women Write Now Fellowship created by the LOL Network in partnership with the Sundance Institute. Through the Women Write Now Fellowship, Wilandrea was also awarded a first look deal with Hartbeat Studios and a development deal with NBCUniversal. Wilandrea has a BA and MA from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. She also has a homicidal goldfish, a slight obsession with soccer and is a coffee virgin.
