Vidal D’ Costa hails from Goa. She currently works as a content writer, film critic and film journalist. She is also a self published author in sci-fi and romance genres in print and digital as well as a blogger. While pursuing her master's in media studies at The New School, New York, she wrote and produced a documentary on excessive retouching in print and digital media and its negative impact on body image called ‘Airbrushed Beyond Recognition’ which was screened at various film festivals and received an honorary mention at the Student World Impact Film festival in 2022. Her other short films include the low budget mockumentary 'Vidal D'costa presents Mocking the Mundane' which started life as a series of sketches and her most recent short film, 'I Could Try To Carry On' which is based on her blank verse poem 'Bruised Battered and Bullied'. She feels inspired by the works of Mira Nair, Taika Waititi, Conan O'Brien, Aanand L Rai and Shoojit Sircar (to name just a few).
