I chose to tell this story because often art and design pieces are left out of the conversation of storytelling, when in fact they are the original storytellers. Fashion designers and wearers of garments tell stories everyday whether its the physical making of a garment or what the garment says about about a person. This story is important to tell because fashion is a representation of identity, culture, religion, and ethnicity. Makers of garments tell the world who they are and what their story is with a piece of clothing, but their story is often overlooked or ignored.
