Savannah Renee Toney

I chose to tell this specific story because as a black woman constantly navigating fresh spaces, your mental health may be impacted at times. Often, black women are seen as "strong" which can be a toxic box to live in sometimes, it limits our flexibly to be soft, sensitive and expressive. My goal with my Junior thesis project was to highlight our complexities, to show that as black women our mental health matters.
