CALL ME ANYTIME, I’M NOT LEAVING THE HOUSE is about a moment in time that feels never-ending: the first phone call between two sisters separated by conflict. I made this film in resistance to hegemonic depictions of war and conflict in mainstream media, that often include imagery of tangible human brutality and weaponry. Furthermore, as this is a film about the war in Ukraine, it is also in service of and in dedication to the countless other stories of loved ones separated through conflict across the globe, especially in parts less receiving of media attention.
