Romel Rose is a filmmaker in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Norwalk, California, and attended Bellflower High School. Rose began his filmmaking career in 2014 when he wrote, directed, and produced his first short film, "America's Pit Bull," which went on to win the Online Viewers' Choice Award at the 2015 Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. Since then, Romel has written, directed, and self-produced eight short films that have screened at many film festivals and school campuses worldwide. His short film "Because of the Internet" appeared on Aspire TV in Aspire's independent film series, Urban Indie Block. His short film "Spirit of Injustice" premiered on Issa Rae's digital platform, "Issa Rae Presents." Additionally, Rose's latest short film "John" has been selected to be showcased on Fox Soul's "Screening Room." Romel currently has two feature screenplays written and ready to be optioned for production — one is a Sports Drama, and the other is a Coming-of-Age Drama.
