Casting Director for film, television and theatre. Films include Hell or High Water, The Mustang, Together Together, Gravity, Zero Dark Thirty, Hairspray, Lars And The Real Girl, Christopher Guest’s For Your Consideration and A Mighty Wind, Walter Salles’ On The Road and Ken Loach’s Bread and Roses. Upcoming films include Heartland for Netflix, starring Jessica Chastain. His favorite film job each year, though, is casting for the Sundance Directors Lab. 

Hicks is an Emmy winner for HBO’s Game Change, as well as a three-time Emmy nominee for Recount, Temple Grandin and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Other television work includes The Last Thing He Told Me, American Gods, Scream Queens, The L Word, and the Amazon series Ballard. Two-time President of the Casting Society and a founding member of the Casting Directors’ union, he currently serves as a Governor for the Casting Directors Branch of the Motion Picture Academy, where he helped secure an annual Oscar® for Casting.
